Dishonest Business

I hope people are looking up reviews for this company before doing any business with them. I, too, ordered $250 worth of ammo last Fall only to receive the recurring backorder/cancellation threat emails. I will never order from them again. If they had the ammo in stock when I ordered or expected the amount they allowed to be sold, why didn't I get my order? They need to be putting together these back orders and filling them before accepting new orders at higher prices.

Horrible

Horrible. I bought ammo 3 months ago and only bought with 3 month membership to get ammo discount. 4 months later still no ammo and was auto signed up to full year membership and still mo ammo. I purchase ammo from 2 other sites since and received within 2 weeks. They want to scam u into membership fee. this place is typical corp comp that screws its customers with lies. I will never buy from again once membership is up. Till then since cant get refund. Sportsman guide sucks

As mentioned

As mentioned, almost a year to get product after order, but during the wait, they were selling the exact item at a much higher price to others. I believe that half their reason to exist is to have you get one of their credit cards, so that no matter what you buy or where you buy it they are making money.

I ordered 1000 rounds of ammunition…

I ordered 1000 rounds of ammunition back in july 2020 but until now i still didn’t received my ammo. They keep on changing the dates and called them multiple times but the only thing they can tell me is we don’t change the date but the company of the ammo does. I just cancelled it today without any conpensation and the guy that i talked to just said okey here’s your money back bye. What a joke.

Multiple Orders, Great Products

I've placed multiple orders. Each has arrived quickly, complete and as described. The Serbian Camo Coat was beautiful. I paid $40.00 with my membership. It was worth easily double that. I don't know what all the bad reviews are about.

I ordered 2 products and was told that…

I ordered 2 products and was told that those items were on back order, great no problem until I checked the status and saw that those items were put further back on back order. Instead of just a month on back order, my order was backed up to 3 months on back order! I cancelled my order so I'll see if they honor the cancellation. I will never use sportman's guide again!!!! And if the was a zero star rating I would have given them a big fat ZERO!

Never had any issues with SG.
I've ordered for them numerous times and always got my product.
And they let you know in the disclaimer some products May differ in color and condition then shown on the website.

Terrible! Is this even legal??

Terrible! I found a reasonable price on bulk ammo, which was back ordered but was schedule to be delivered in November. I was willing to wait so I placed an order. In order to save on shipping I signed up for a membership. November came and went and the delivery was delayed to January. I was still willing to wait. In the meantime the price of the identical item went up by 2X and was still available for order on their site. The order I made WAS CANCELLED BY SPORTSMANSGUIDE (EVEN AS THEY CONTINUED TO SELL THE IDENTICAL ITEM FOR 2X AS MUCH!) and they refused to refund the membership i purchased as part of the order, which i had not used at all... as they cancelled the only order I had made. I am baffled that they can operate like this, and can't believe this is even legal?!?

I got tricked into purchasing a deer…

I got tricked into purchasing a deer blind cover. The ad called it a 2 man deer blind but it did not come with a stand. I called them 2 times and waited on hold for 30 minutes each time. They could not identify a stand for me to purchase with This blind. And would not allow me to return the item. Very disappointing.

Lack of Communication

I understand that there's a national shortage on ammunition as there is uncertainty. However, this is the crappiest website I have ever attempted to make a purchase from.
I placed an order in September for rifle rounds and was told I would receive my order in November. However, I later received an email stating that this order has been delayed to January.
Which, no problem, considering all the supply chain challenges and unexpected consumer demand. So, I waiting until the end of October to check up on my order to see if any changes have been made. Only to find out that they canceled the order. Which still, I understand.
This isn't what made me upset, what made me infuriated, is that they canceled my order at a price we agreed to 1000 rds @ $440 and relisted the same item for $690. Somehow this seems illegal or at the very least a bad business practice.
I get supply on demand, but at least honor the price and order to which your customers agreed to when they placed their orders.

Wouldn’t give them even 1 star! Ordered ammo back in July 2020 for good price! Backorder is understood until October, but email says action needed to prolong order until January 2021? Didn’t want to give me my items at that price you are now charging almost 60% more for what I ordered them at! Who is willing to throw the most money? Sportsman Guide sucks!

Don't Waste Your Time or Energy

Ordered product on June 15, 2020 using trial membership. Received notice that the product would be delayed until August 3rd. On July 15th they took their membership fee even though I was never allowed to use the "trial membership" during that time.
The following week I receive an email telling me my item will not be shipping until October 18th and do I still want to wait. I replied yes and that I needed the product enough to wait.
3 months have passed so I thought I better check the order status. It says, cancelled!
I immediately emailed customer service and began receiving their standard "we will respond in 32 hours" lie. They have never responded to any of my online requests or emails to Customer Service. When I try to call, all I get is the we are extremely busy handling other calls, goodbye and hangup routine.
Others may have gotten their stuff but the vast majority are being treated absolutely terrible by this company. Their BBB reviews are at 1 star and all the complaints very similar.
